ABSTRACT
This article relates the state of investigative reporting in the Republic of Georgia. Journalist Nino Zuriashvili and editor/videographer Alex Kvatashidze sought independent funding and started an investigative production company called Monitor Studio in a bid to address the lack of serious reporting in the country. However, their major problem was finding a place to broadcast their stories. For instance, television stations refused to broadcast their investigative report, which posed direct criticism of President Mikheil Saakasvili's government. Since the stations refused to broadcast their story, Monitor Studio decided to use the Internet to circumvent censorship and cowardice.
