ABSTRACT
The article discusses watchdog reporting in the U.S. using the digital spectrum. On February 18, 2009, digital spectrum will be utilized by television broadcasters in the country. It is mentioned that local television news will have a hard time attracting television viewers to digital channels. It is asserted that excellent video journalism should be produced in order for investigative journalists to achieve success. According to the author, television viewers prefer reports that touch their own lives.
