A reprint of an article showing a timeline of muckraking journalism from 1858 to 2007, which appeared in the book "Muckrakers" by Ann Bausum, is presented. A report from the May 8, 1858 issue of the "Illustrated Newspaper," exposed the production of poor-quality milk among city-raised cows. The newspaper "San Francisco Examiner" published "Overboard: An 'Examiner' Man Tests the Life-Saving Gear of the Ferry" on September 2, 1888. Journalist William Glaberson revealed fraud in New York State's small-town courts in 2007.
