ABSTRACT
The article discusses succession planning in organizations. It states that the business reflects the management's judgement, values, and decisions. Leaders who would be leaving an organization are advised to reflect on the difference that their departure will make and to hire people to fill operational gaps during the transition process. Improving employees' skills involve coaching, mentoring, and further job training that are not just focused on structured learning but more of supporting and providing guidance to individuals and teams for their development.
