ABSTRACT
The article discusses the steps on improving the design and management systems of organizations. It states that there are challenges in the design and management of 20th century organizations. The core processes of an organization reflect its transactions with its customers. The first step involves stating the problems in designing and managing organizations. The second process is using the outside-in view on the organization. The last step is about assessing the organizational capability and the organization's relation with its customers.
