Endocrine Today;3/10/2008, Vol. 6 Issue 4, p22
The article reports on the result of the estradiol and sex hormone-binding globulin (SHBG) difference in women with pre-menstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD). According to the researchers, PMDD is poorly understood and afflicts women with mood changes, irritability and depression. Of the 115 women studied, researchers have found that women with PMDD have low estradiol and high SHBG levels.
