ABSTRACT
The article provides information on a study on cyclooxygenase-2 enzyme (Cox-2) manifestation in atypical hyperplasia. According to the study, Cox-2 enzyme expression could be a biomarker in women with atypical hyperplasia that suggests an increased risk of breast cancer. An overview of the study conducted by researchers from the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, the University of Helsinki, and the University of Michigan is offered.
