The article focuses on the developments in the electronics manufacturing services (EMS) industry in the U.S. It explores several changes that have occurred in the military electronics sector including the plan of Congress to cut the military budget substantially. It also examines the contribution of electronics technology in capitalizing on alternate energy sources as well as on the healthcare industry.
