ABSTRACT
The article discusses about the left ventricular ejection fraction. According to the article, a new guideline released by the American Society of Echocardiography and the European Society of Echocardiography states that an abnormal ejection fraction of the left ventricle to be less than 55 percent. However, there has been discussions about suggestions on altering the lower limit of normality for the inclusion of patients with ejection fractions of 50 to 54 percent.
