The author focuses on memory. She describes memory as the brain's ability to absorb, store and retrieve data with short-term and long-term as its two main types. The main areas in the brain that are involved in memory include the hippocampus, which is said to be the most important part of the brain's memory function, and the cerebral cortex, which stores memories of all types. She also offers tips and techniques on how to improve memory, including the use of mnemonics.
