ABSTRACT
This article reports on new clinical practice guidelines that was released by the Infectious Diseases Society of America for the treatment of asperillosis. Published in "Clinical Infectious Diseases," the guidelines noted that Aspergillus species is a main cause of life-threatening infections among immunocompromised patients. A primary treatment for this disease is voriconazole, which is considered superior to deoxycholate amphotericin B.
