The article discusses research on predicting blood episodes presented during the 49th Annual Meeting of the American Society of Hematology (ASH) in Atlanta, Georgia from December 8 to 11, 2007. According to the study by a team led by Dr. August B. Federici of the University of Italy, bleeding severity score is significant to determining bleeding episodes in patients with von Willebrand's disease. Eight hundred fourteen patients with the disease were monitored by the team.
