ABSTRACT
The article reports on the flak faced by Bassett Furniture Industries Inc., La-Z-Boy, and Select Comfort from shareholders due to their financial performance and declining stock price. Bassett Furniture Industries Inc. and shareholder Costa Brava Partnership have mailed proxy fight statements to shareholders urging them to vote for their slate of directors at a meeting. Although La-Z-Boy, and Select Comfort are not yet facing proxy battles, both received criticisms from stockholders.
