ABSTRACT
The article discusses the sound techniques used by six nominated films in the Oscar Academy Awards in the U.S. The two unusual award categories, the Achievement in Sound Editing and Achievement in Sound Mixing, are the highlights during the awards night. The six nominated movies include "No Country for Old Men, There Will Be Blood," "3:10 to Yuma," "The Bourne Ultimatum, "Ratatoville" and "Transformer."
