ABSTRACT
The article discusses three defining principles that successful strategists continually apply to their businesses, enabling them to outperform their competition. The three applied principles of strategy are differentiation, focus and a system. The article suggests that when a business ensures that managers in the organization apply the principles, the strategic competency of their organization will dramatically improve.
