ABSTRACT
The article reports on the decision of Sun Capital Partners (SCP) to nominate its own slate of directors on the Furniture Brands International's (FBI's) board in Boca Raton, Florida. SCP, whose affiliates own 4.58 million shares of FBI's stock, has asked the latter for a list of its stockholders so it can tap votes for its proposed directors. However, the action is regarded by FBI as costly and disruptive.
