ABSTRACT
The article reports on the acquisition of the institutional global custody business of Nordea by JP Morgan Chase & Co. The acquisition ends the marketing alliance that Nordea has forged with Bank of New York Mellon Corp. The deal also enabled JP Morgan to take over the 200 billion euros in assets under custody of Nordea. JP Morgan will serve as the global custodian for Nordea's Nordea Funds and Nordea Life & Pensions businesses.
