Sapa AB agrees to acquire Kam Kiu

The article reports on a letter of intent signed by Sapa AB to acquire the Chinese extrusion company Kam Kiu, one of China's largest extruders. Sapa chief executive Ole Enger stated that Sapa joined forces with Alcoa to create the largest aluminum extrusion company in the world in 2007, and with the acquisition, Sapa will get a strong presence in China. The transaction is expected to close during the second quarter of 2008.
