The article discusses how Fairmont Hotels Inc. has met the challenge of increasing demand of laundry service in Alberta. When Fairmont was acquired by Canadian Pacific (CP) Hotels and Resorts Inc. in 1990s, the laundry volume has increased to the point that two 13-compartment Voss bottom-transfer tunnel washers were added. By 2007, Fairmont was no longer associated with CP and the volume returned to previous levels. Fairmont decided to upgrade the linen service to regain its original capacity.
