New IP-XACT Specification to Aid Design and Advanced Verification

March 2008
Portable Design;Mar2008, Vol. 14 Issue 3, p9
The article reports that the support for IP using transactional modeling styles and new tight generator Interface (TGI) are the new features that has been added by The SPIRIT Consortium to its IP-XACT specification. It stated that the IP-XACT specification enables designers using IP-XACT tools to automatically create other expressions of design in a consistent and correlated way. It also cites that IP-XACT document hardware and software design and the interface on an IP, including identification of ad-hoc connections, interfaces to standard buses and custom buses. Furthermore, the views of design, as well as register and memory-map information are also documented.
