The article discusses the significance of Internet advertising in increasing a broadcast company's profit in the U.S. According to a research by Yankee Group, online advertising will produce $50.3 billion in revenue. Paul King of Raycom Media said that the primary reasons companies refer to the Internet are local news and weather. Moreover, delivering Internet media places new demands on station technology, budgets and personnel, particularly in newsroom.
