Lloyd's Trims, but Others Wish They Would Have Cut

The article reports on the high competition of underwriters in London market. Lloyd's announced a slight decrease in capacity but Chief Executive Stephen Catlin said that it is difficult because the trading condition in the area is hard and it will only fall due to an increase business in the U.S. and international businesses. Both Catlin and Hiscox had recently set up shop in Bermuda to expand beyond the Lloyd's market and diversify their geographic and portfolio presence.
