The article discusses the integration of the International University Fashion Show in the 22nd Biennial Universiade in Korea. Textile and fashion departments from the colleges and universities of China, Japan, France, and the U.S. were invited to participate. During the parade, fashion ideas came forth from the schools having prominent asymmetrical designs and garments with unmatched halves. Some of the fashion designs provided social messages or imitated particular styles. The show presented how clothing designs are influenced by different philosophical approaches to textile and apparel studies.
