ABSTRACT
The article offers information about the U.S. Department of Education. The Office of Correctional Education will be sponsoring training sessions dealing with the utilization of post release outcome data to evaluate institutionally based educational services. The release of two reading materials from the National Institute of Corrections which is partially supported by the Department of Education is awaited. A leadership training session related to correctional education will be provided by Todd Ogle and Eric Lichtenberger of Virginia Tech's Center for Assessment, Planning and Educational Programming.
