ABSTRACT
The article reports on the findings of a survey conducted by Motorola Inc. and the Association of Public-Safety Communications Officials Inc. that assessed how public safety organizations use current communications technology in the U.S. The survey revealed a strong demand for technology solutions that provide advanced situational awareness to first responders. It also showed that 65% of the respondents believed that first responders should have the ability to react to natural disasters.
