ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the importance of Geographic Information System (GIS) technology of Fire/Rescue Services in protecting the community in Wilson, North Carolina. The GIS provides emergency responders with the equipment and information needed in decision making and in dealing emergencies. The technology will also help fire personnel in gaining access and in creating data sets.
