The article reports that the newspaper "Washington Post" has nominated 26-year-old Juan Lemus of Columbus, Nebraska, for the Stupidest Criminal Award. Lemus was sentenced to six months in jail for offering a bag of marijuana to a convenience store clerk in exchange for the goods bought. When the clerk continuously refused to accept it, Lemus left the store to return with cash and hid the marijuana pot in a snow drift. Police caught him outside the store.
