ABSTRACT
The article reports on the move of Kier Support Services (KSS), a division of FTSE-250 construction firm Kier Group, to restructure its human resouce (HR) team to drive business growth. KSS, which has six business streams operating out of 28 locations, provides services such as facilities management and design consultancy to public- and private-sector clients. KSS has retained most of its HR staff but is switching to a national shared services system, with the biggest changes in recruitment and succession planning.
