The article considers the need for firms in London, England to import human resources (HR) talent and ideas from outside the financial world. According to Mervyn Davies, chairman of Standard Chartered Bank, the importation of HR talent and ideas is needed in order to provide the best leadership during the expected downturn. Davies added that the city had a lot to learn about people management from other sectors.
