ABSTRACT
The article offers information on the cover art for the March 1, 2008 issue of "EcoHealth" journal. It features the painting "The Fall of the Rebel Angels," by Pieter Bruegel the Elder, which depicts a maelstrom of falling rebel angels outcast from heaven with St. Michael standing within the fray in gilded armor. The author likens St. Michael and his comrades to pathogenic organisms which have fallen from grace through an evolutionary pathway. Information about the life and other works of Bruegel is provided.
