ABSTRACT
The article offers news briefs related to the metal industry in the U.S. The February Business Conditions Report in 2008 from the Precision Manufacturing Association states that shipping levels of metals are rebounding from low levels in January. A suit had been filed by the National Association of Manufacturers which challenged a major provision of lobbying legislation enacted in 2007. Regional chapters of the Metals Service Center Institute has awarded college scholarships.
