ABSTRACT
The article discusses the factors to be considered in performing an early management for people with acute spinal-cord injury (SCI) in the U.S. One factor is the importance of referring to a clinical practice guideline (CPG) which provides evidence-based recommendations for this kind of condition. The author also offers a book entitled "Early Acute Management in Adults with Spinal Cord Injury: A Clinical Practice Guideline for Health-Care Providers." INSET: Expert Advice.
