ABSTRACT
The article reports on the auction of Simmental cattle held in Scotland. Simmental followers witnessed a somewhat patchy trade at Perth, Scotland which saw two lots in the 20,000gns region, yet a sharp fall down to the 7000-11,000gns mark. Topping trade at 22,000gns was the senior and reserve overall champion from Finlay and Neil McGowan, Blairgowrie, Perthshire, Scotland. He sold with a terminal sire index of +26 to David and Nicky Field, Swindon, who are setting up a new organic herd.
