ABSTRACT
The article reports that the U.S. Department of Defense has filed charges against Khalid Sheikh Mohammed and five other men suspected to be involved in planning the September 11, 2001 terrorists attacks. The department filed a total of 169 charges, which include murder. If the case is permitted to go to trial, it will take place in a military court at Guantánamo Bay, Cuba. Dana Perino, White House press secretary, says the trial is the next step after the attacks.
