ABSTRACT
The article reports on the ongoing building projects in Las Vegas, Nevada that are meant to meet the needs of meeting and incentive planners. Over $40 billion in new construction projects are taking shape including the $1 billion expansion of Caesar's Palace for a new hotel tower, the $7 billion CitiCenter from MGM Mirage opening in November 2009, and the $4 billion Echelon resort complex opening in 2010. Michael Massari of Las Vegas Meetings by Harrah's Entertainment underscores the importance of the meeting and convention industry to their company.
