ABSTRACT
The article provides information regarding environmentally preferable purchasing (EPP), also known as green purchasing. It states that EPP means buying products that have a reduced environmental impact while maintaining the same environmental quality and performance. In addition, EPP includes the gradual and ongoing process in which a health care provider refines and expands the scope of its efforts to select environmentally safe products and services.
