Supervisors endorse sports authority as a way to save spring training

The article reports that Pima County Board of Supervisors has endorsed the creation of an authority similar to the Arizona Sports and Tourism Authority in Maricopa County, but with 25 percent revenues going to youth and amateur sports in Arizona. The creation of the Pima County Sports and Tourism Authority is a direct action to save Major League Baseball spring training in Tuczon. The supervisors are set to have their final vote on April 1, 2008.
