ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the program "CMT One Country" that is initiated by Country Music Television Network (CMT) together with America's Second Harvest, Boys & Girls Clubs of America, Habitat for Humanity, Hands On Network, and the United Service Organizations (USO). The program is aimed at promoting civic participation and local volunteerism. To attract more participants, CMT has chosen former American Idol contestant Diana DeGarmo to be the program's spokesperson for 2008.
