ABSTRACT
The article provides information related to the production of Walt Disney Co.'s "Cinderella." On film, the narratives were dramatized in live action. The release of the film in 1950 marked Disney's return to feature-length animation for the first time since "Bambi" in 1942. "Cinderella" is a 76 minute narrative that possesses the tight dramatic structure and carefully delineated primary and secondary characters that had come to be associated with Disney features. The film marked a financial turning point for the studio, earning more money on its initial release than any Disney feature since "Snow White."
