ABSTRACT
This section offers news briefs related to human resources (HR) management in Great Britain. Employers are being urged to give cash incentives to staff who lose the most weight, as part of the government's anti-obesity drive. A study by Hewitt Associates found that the majority of multinationals using HR shared service centers (SSC) plan to expand their use in the near future. Employers can receive free employment law advice via a web service launched by the Department for Business, Enterprise and Regulatory Reform.
