People Management;2/7/2008, Vol. 14 Issue 3, p10
The article presents the views of Peter Luff, Member of Parliament and chairman of the Business, Enterprise and Regulatory Reform Committee, on the Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment) (TUPE) Regulations 2006 legislation in Great Britain. He claims that TUPE regulations put employers and employees in creative industries at a disadvantage. The legislation allows workers to follow their jobs in events such as mergers or the contracting-out of services.
