The article focuses on the data manipulation tools/service being offered by software company Armanta to enable fund manager to understand risk, rebalance the portfolio and monitor trades. It relates the system built by Armanta for a Dutch pension fund set up by Hans Lanslots, chief technology officer (CTO). A CTO of a European pension fund manager describes the success of using Armanta tools. A director at a large European bank, claims that Armanta allows his portfolio managers to scrutinize data because they are getting more information.
