ABSTRACT
The article presents a diagnosis of a 64-years-old man suffering from gastrointestinal disease. The patient has a medical history of type 2 diabetes mellitus, arterial hypertension, chronic alcoholism and thrombocytopenia. His ultrasound and computerized tomography (CT) Scan results shows that the patient has a liver cirrhosis with portal hypertension and a pylorus and proximal duodenum thickening. A surgical approach is suggested to the patient to prevent ulcer and suspicion of cancer.
