Five short film directors including Naomi Rossdeutcher, Dean Francis and Richard Pearlman are directing short plays for the Short and Sweet competition at the Seymour Centre and the Newtown Theatre. A seminar called "This Would Make a Great Film" will be held on February 14, 2007 at the Newtown Theatre. Jennie Tate, a well-known theatre and film costume designer, died from breast cancer over the Christmas break.
