ABSTRACT
The article reflects on what the place of Australian documentary production would be in an era of social media. Film Australia has supported filmmakers in the 1970s and 1980s, where the priority has been documentary production. It notes that the emergence of digital technologies have transformed the world which allows anyone to access moving images through mobile phones, automobiles and computers.
