ABSTRACT
The article reports on the plan of Arrow Electronics Inc. to purchase the components distribution business of Achieva Ltd. According to William E. Mitchell, chief executive officer of Achieva, the acquisition is aimed to increase the presence of Arrow in the Asia-Pacific region and augment the electronics supply chain. With this acquisition, however, Arrow will gain strong, established relationships with major semiconductor suppliers that will expand its line card, as well as build upon existing partnerships.
