United States Steel Corp. and JFE Steel Corp. have signed a technical exchange agreement to share expertise in steelmaking practices and other areas of mutual interest. Nucor Corp. has inked a memorandum of understanding with Duferco Group company to create a joint venture for the production and distribution of beams. Rio Tinto PLC rejected the $147.4 billion buyout offer of BHP Billiton Ltd.
