ABSTRACT
The article reports on the trend of the basic video subscriptions for Cablevision Systems Corp. in the U.S. in the fourth quarter of 2007. Despite competition from Verizon Communications Inc.'s FiOS video service, Cablevision accounted an additional gain of 1155 video subscribers. Furthermore, the company acquired 43,000 digital-video customers, 62,000 high-speed Internet clients and 102,000 Optimum Voice phone customers in the said period.
