Global Technology Companies Treading Water When It Comes to Security and Privacy

The article presents the results of the 2007 global security survey which examined the information security strategy of more than 100 companies in the technology, media and entertainment and telecommunications (TMT) industries. The survey revealed that 46 percent of the respondents have no formal data security platform. However, Rena Meirs of Deloitte & Touche LLP said that a prerequisite for effective corporate governance is the development of a security strategy for the company's operation.
