ABSTRACT
The article explores the risks facing businesses in Turkey. It relates the impact of the demonstration held before the 2007 election in Turkey that raised concerns on the political stability of the country. Add to this press reports that Saudi businessman Yasin Al Qadi, on both the U.S. Treasury's and the United Nation's list of suspected terrorists, is a personal friend of Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan. Information is presented on the efforts of Aziz Zapsu of bringing Western-style discounting to the poorer people of Turkey.
